Happy birthday to us!

It’s been a year since the first article was published on All But Drams and since then we’ve released 17 festival reviews, 7 bar reviews and plenty more on top of that.

I started this site with a core mission – to cover Whisky events and culture rather than bottles. I’m pleased to say the reaction and reach has been bigger than I ever anticipated. Thank you to all those who read these articles and leave comments here or on our social channels.

Our first year has seen us restricted to the South and Midlands but we’ll be venturing further North and abroad in 2026 to cover more shows and build an extensive archive of reviews. We’ll also continue to cover other barrel aged spirits (specifically Rum and Cognac) after seeing such a popular reception to those.

I’d like to extend a thank you to the various distillers, ambassadors, content creators and enthusiasts who’ve supported All But Drams. An extra special thanks goes out to the event organisers who make the festivals happen. Without your efforts and love of spirits, this site wouldn’t exist.

A personal thanks goes to my Dad, who got me into whisky and reads every post, (hi Dad). Finally, the biggest thanks of all to my wife who has helped out plenty behind the scenes and supported this endeavour extensively.
